Indoor S’more Dip

Nothing beats a crackling campfire under the night sky with friends and marshmallows warming on a stick. But sometimes it’s rainy, sometimes it’s one of those HOT and HUMID Missouri evenings, and sometimes you may not be in a place where you can build a fire and whip up a s’more! Andrew and I found ourselves in a situation this past fall where our planned bonfire nights with friends kept getting cancelled due to the rain. We had been saving the Hershey bars, marshmallows, and Graham crackers for a while but there was no telling when we would actually get to enjoy our next s’more. So we decided to go ahead and make this fun and yummy dessert dip one evening after putting Tobias to bed and it was as easy as it gets!

What you will need:

  • Oven
  • Hershey Bars or Chocolate chips
  • Marshmallows
  • Graham crackers
  • Cast iron skillet- We have a set of three skillets like this and I used a small skillet like this one.

Instructions:

Place chocolate on the bottom of a small iron skillet. I used small broken pieces of Hershey bars but I’ve seen chocolate chips used as well! Cover the bottom of the pan with enough chocolate keeping in mind that it will melt and settle a little bit! (I think I used 3 or 4 Hershey bars.) Then, add a layer of marshmallows.

I didn’t worry about over stuffing the pan with marshmallows and left a little extra room for them to expand.

Bake at 450 degrees for 7-10 minutes or until golden! Serve hot and scoop out the gooey goodness with graham crackers!

I was not only impressed with how easy this was, but also how quick it is to whip up in a flash! It’s a perfect, sweet snack for a girls night, talking and snacking around the table with friends, or dipping and eating during a movie! (Which is what Andrew and I did!)

I definitely recommend serving this dip warm because its easier to scoop and doesn’t everything just taste so much better when it’s fresh out of the oven? 🙂

Hope you enjoy this Indoor S’more Dip as much as I did!
